welcome to the whirled-wide sewing circle

wherever i wander i find sewing circles

some already in existence have graciously allowed me to join them for a while,

others have formed themselves in a class and then continued to meet after i departed.

it seems universally comforting and satisfying to take a threaded needle in your hand and mend or embellish something

in these pages i'll be publishing stories and images relating to stitching and mending, making do and windfall gathering as part of a community that i hope will find participants around the globe. inspired by my studies of 'kantha', 'boro' and 'mending' i wanted to create a space that would allow me to give back something to my many students
