dyed, forgotten, found [but not stitched yet]

there are pros and cons to being away from the studio so much
things are forgotten [so tempting to type 'fogrotten']
and then found again while on the hunt for something else entirely

such as this jar
[details on the label]

and for a lovely mending story
swing over to Judy's Journal

  5. sometimes [in answer to 'homeschooled'] i realise that what i thought i was looking for
may not have been the right thing
    and
if i listen to the universe [and the Dogs Above] they will let me find what i need rather than what i think i want
    in this case
    i found
    both

  6. I'm so thankful to have found your blog! I am an mfa candidate and something told me to use recycled thrifted white cloth, and ecru thread, to create my pieces. And so that's what I'm doing. I've recently completed a mirror cover with men's white dress shirts and embroidery, and am now working on a commemorative piece of stitching with women's pieces I'm calling "You Saw Me" about the women that touched my early life with attention and taught me cooking, sewing, and just how to be kind....Love the pieces I've seen here!
